Teaching and Supervision

I have taught undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Computer Science throughout my career. As an independent consultant, I have also taught external courses for continuing education and for industry. I have received a teaching award, and have been nominated twice for other awards. Student evaluations consistently rate me as well above our department's norm.

I have supervised or co-supervised 6 Postdoctoral Fellows, 8 PhD, 32 MSc and Diplome students to successful conclusions. I have supervised a good number of other graduate, undergraduate and intern students, research employees, and visiting researchers in various capacities. I regularly participated as an adviser and/or an examiner in many PhD supervisory committees, thesis defenses, candidacy examinations and PhD transfer committees.

Teaching Awards and Student Surveys
